Remove testers from a group

Learn how to manage testers with the App Store Connect API.

Internal testers

  1. In Apps, select the app you want to view.

  2. Click the TestFlight tab.

  3. In the sidebar, under Internal Testing, select a group.

  4. Under Testers, select the testers you want to remove and click Remove on the top right of the table.

Testers who are removed from the program won’t have access to new builds. They will still be able to access existing builds until those builds expire.

Note: Keep in mind that this only removes testers from the group. You can delete testers from TestFlight in the All Testers section.

Tip: Use filters to identify and remove inactive testers. For example, to remove testers that are still in the Invited state, click Add Filter, click Status, and select Invited. Select all testers with this status using the checkbox in table header or individually select the testers you want to remove. Then, click Remove.

External testers

  1. In Apps, select the app you want to view.

  2. Click the TestFlight tab.

  3. In the sidebar, under External Testing, select a group.

  4. Select the testers you want to remove, then click Remove at the top of the table.

Testers removed from the group lose access to new builds in the TestFlight app but retain access to existing builds until they expire.

Tip: Use filters to identify and remove inactive testers. For example, to remove testers that are still in the Invited state, click Add Filter, click Status, and select Invited. Select all testers with this status using the checkbox in table header or individually select the testers you want to remove. Then, click Remove.
